College and Career Readiness Coordinator

Mrs. Crystal Sanders

My name is Crystal Sanders, and I serve as the College & Career Readiness Coordinator and School Test Coordinator at Early College EAST. I have the privilege of helping students navigate the transition from high school to college, career training, and future careers. I also work closely with all of our students as they adjust to the expectations of high school, helping them develop organization, time management, and prioritization skills that will support their success both in and out of the classroom. In addition, I collaborate with our community partners to create outreach programs and real-world learning opportunities that connect students with careers, colleges, and resources beyond our campus. Before joining Early College EAST, I spent twelve years as an elementary school teacher, where I developed a passion for helping students discover their strengths and reach their goals.

Originally from West Virginia, I have proudly called Eastern North Carolina home since 2000. Living near the coast has been a wonderful change, and I enjoy everything our area has to offer. My husband and I have two children and one amazing granddaughter who keeps us smiling.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my granddaughter, visiting family and friends, traveling to new places, kayaking, and relaxing with a good book at the beach or by the pool.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a Master of Education in Teaching and Learning from Liberty University. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher and remain committed to supporting students as they prepare for successful futures.
